As infrastructure projects become larger, more complex and more climate conscious, IBF is committed to being part of the solution. Sustainability is now a central part of our business strategy. We are working actively to reduce the carbon footprint of concrete while maintaining the strength, durability and reliability that large scale projects require.
We are investing in production facilities that allow us to replace parts of traditional cement with CO₂-saving residual materials. We are also expanding our range of CO₂-reduced products and strengthening circular economy initiatives, including the reuse of concrete and water in production processes.
Documentation is another important part of our sustainability work. Customers increasingly need reliable data on environmental impact, including EPDs and CO₂ calculations. IBF is therefore continuously building stronger internal capabilities to provide transparent documentation and support customers in meeting both regulatory requirements and project specific sustainability goals.
Sustainable infrastructure is not only about materials. It is also about climate adaptation, responsible transport and long-term resilience. IBF develops concrete solutions that support robust urban environments and contribute to infrastructure designed for changing climate conditions. At the same time, we are investing in the green transition of transport, including electric truck infrastructure.
